Events Calendar

Perham Lakeside invites its 2024 Members, and their guests, to participate in the Showdown on the Shore, Friday, May 31st & Saturday, June 1st, at Perham Lakeside Golf Course.

Each team will be comprised of 1 Lakeside Member & 1 Guest of their choosing.

Each team will be guaranteed 45 holes of competition over 2 days, culminating in a shootout to crown the 2024 Member/Guest Champions.

FORMAT

- 2 Person FourBall match play over 9 holes

- 5 9-hole matches over the 2 days

- 10 team Shootout

BRACKET FORMATION

- Brackets will be comprised of 6 2-man teams, drawn at random on Thursday night.

- 5 9-hole matches will be played, where your team will play each team within your bracket one time over the 5 matches.

HANDICAPS

- An active GHIN handicap needs to be held by each player.  Any player who cannot be found within the GHIN system, or who has a non-active GHIN, will be playing at "Scratch".

- All handicaps will be taken at 85% for each player.

TEES

- Men ages 59 & under will play the Blue tees for all rounds

- Men ages 60 & over will play the White tees for all rounds

- Women will play the Red tees for all rounds

MATCHES

- FourBall Match Play

- Each match will be played off of the low handicap within the match.  For example, Player A has a handicap of 2 for the 9 holes and his handicap is the lowest within the group.  He will receive "0" strokes during the 9 holes and the other 3 players within the group will also lose 2 strokes.

- Teams will be trying to win as many points as possible over their 5 matches.

- Points will be as follows:

     - 1 point for a hole won

     - .5 points for a hole tied

     - 0 points for a hole lost

     - 1 additional point for a match won

SHOOTOUT

- 10 teams will qualify for the final Shootout. 

- The top point earning teams within each bracket after the 5 matches will automatically qualify for the Shootout.  

- The remainder of the Shootout field will be filled by the other top earning teams not automatically qualified. 

* If there were ties to fill the Shootout field, a Closest to the Pin of those teams that are tied will take place prior to the Shootout.

COST

Lakeside Member Price = $100

Guest Price = $200

TOTAL = $300

Your team entrance fee will cover:

- Golf & cart for 45 holes of play (and Shootout - whether a participant or gallery member)

- $100 Pro Shop Credit per player to spend on in-stock merchandise

- Tournament Prizes

- Lunch (grab and go Cheeseburger basket) on Friday

- Dinner following the Shootout on Saturday evening

- Other optional events available to enter throughout the weekend - including Skins game, Horse Races, and Player's Pool

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

Thursday Afternoon:

- Teams can schedule practice rounds at their leisure throughout the day.

- Guest practice round fee for 18 holes w/ cart will be $35+tax

- Lakeside member practice round fees will correspond to their membership level restrictions

- Teams can buy in to a 2 Person Combined Score Skins game for the Practice Round for $40 a team.  Handicaps for the Practice Round will also be taken at 85% per player.

Thursday Evening:

- A Social Mixer will be held in the Event Center at 7:30pm, where teams can get together

- Brackets will be drawn at random during the Social

Friday:

- First round match at 10:00am on Pine

- Grab and Go lunch buffet at the turn setup throughout from 12:00 - 1:30pm

- Second round match at ~12:30pm on Oak

- Third round match at ~3:30pm on Maple

Saturday:

- Fourth round match at 9:00am on Oak

- Fifth round match at ~11:30am on Maple

- Shootout at ~3:00pm on Pine

- Dinner Banquet with tournament awards ~6:00pm in the Event Center.

* Spouses/Partners are invited to join the Banquet for $20/person
